I had the pleasure of illustrating the cover of my good friend Quitnin Low’s debut novel. The self-published book is a semi-autobiographical coming of age story that follows the teenage McMurphy through the trials and tribulations of big-city teen life.

A central theme in the novel is that of “the game” of life. Working with this theme I came up with the image of McMurphy (based off Quintin himself) running from “the game” depicted as a game die through the moonlit city streets.
